Refund policy

Effective 17 July 2026

Church Farm General Store makes small-batch, handmade sauces and curry pastes in Billinudgel, Northern NSW. Because our products are food items, we are unable to accept change-of-mind returns for hygiene and food-safety reasons. This policy sets out your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and how to request a refund, replacement, or repair if something goes wrong.

When We Offer a Refund, Replacement or Repair

We will provide a full refund or replacement (your choice) where a product is:

  • Faulty, defective, or not of acceptable quality
  • Damaged in transit
  • Different from what was ordered (incorrect item)
  • Affected by a manufacturing or packaging fault, such as a compromised seal or spoilage not caused by mishandling after delivery
  • Past its use-by or best-before date at the time of delivery

What We Do Not Refund

As a food business, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Products that have been opened, used, or partially consumed (unless faulty)
  • Incorrect orders caused by customer error (e.g. wrong address or product selection), once dispatched
  • Damage caused by incorrect storage after delivery (our sauces and curry pastes should be stored as directed on the label, and refrigerated after opening)

How to Request a Refund

If you believe a product is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order:

  • Include your order number, a description of the issue, and a photo of the product and any damage

We will assess each claim on its merits and respond within 2 business days. 

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Damaged in Transit

Please inspect your order on arrival. If a jar has broken or a seal has failed during shipping, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can arrange a replacement or refund promptly.

Allergen & Ingredient Concerns

If you experience an adverse reaction, please stop consuming the product immediately, seek medical advice if needed, and contact us so we can investigate. Full ingredient and allergen information is listed on each product label.

Wholesale & Stockist Orders

For orders placed through our retail stockists, please raise faulty, damaged, or short-shipped claims directly with the retailer.
